I picked up the first issue off the newsstands, am now a subscriber and continue to find that GOOD provides a refreshing way to engage the world, not only through the magazine but also the videos, events and website. Well done.

What a falsely modest title. Issue after issue GOOD magazine does an excellent job at reminding me that political magazines don't have to be depressing content-wise or visually. Rare, indeed.

why is "good" good? because the design criteria do not simply fall fall out of the editorial slant of this publication but rather, for the first time i can think of, determine it. deeply intelligent design.

In an age of sound bytes, several of the most careful readers I know read each issue from cover to cover. Design of every detail, from the perfect bound spine to the running heads, has a great influence on the readability of this magazine.

I love the way the magazine feels in my hands, I love the content, the charity, and the passion. Never before has a publication advocated for social, environmental, and political responsibility while actually ACTING on their prescriptions. GOOD is great.

It's Not. What is different about a standard size magazine, with standard content. Bought the first two issues and thats about all the charity I can give. "Good" Idea about the subscriptions though

great design style; GOOD articles; mix of long and short features BUT best of all GOOD magazine is reinventing magazine publishing with its unique subscription system. You pay $20US ($30CDN) to receive the magazine's 6 issues and that money goes to your choice of worthy causes.

Sorry, but I love the design but dislike the subject matter covered in the magazine. The whole 'Green' conversation today seems too trendy and unsubstantive. Suddenly we're all in environemtal panic mode. I just don't buy it.
